MisterSorin:
Copy the file that you download to your MyDocs folder (this shows as the "Nokia N900" device when plugged into a PC by USB), and then run the image installer that came with Easy Debian. It will find the file, check it for errors, and then decompress it.
PS: Get a wireless router. What's the point of an N900 without an Internet connection?

Flynx:
You are right, I should use /.debian instead of /debian as my default mount point in my script.
This will not cause a problem in new installs, because I have changed this in the ~/.chroot config file, but it will cause a problem for users updating from previous versions, because it doesn't update previously installed .chroot files.
As a workaround, change the "CHROOT=/debian" line to "CHROOT=/.debian" in your /home/user/.chroot file.

I tried to install easy-deb-chroot_0.9.36 but I get an error message with unable to install easy-deb-chroot application packages missing bzip2 wget. Are there alternatives to install debian on n900 ? maybe some commands in xterminal ?
sudo getroot apt-get install bzip2 wget

try open the terminal and type
if getroot leaves an error message you need to install rootsh from the application manager, if bzip2 and wget installation leaves an error there is something wrong with your application managerCode:sudo getroot apt-get install bzip2 wget
EDIT:
oh i forgot, if all goes well, install easy debian afterwords
