I don't have win32 folder in my windows XP Pro... so i can't find that sqlite3.dll file. Any help for a noob please?
I think I put this file inside my Knots system32? Putting in my Windows\System32 wouldn't work for me. So i try to put in in Knots and it work. I think there is a folder called Win32 in Knots?? Try to check it.

the "win32" folder is inside the knots_win.zip archive

and about the "best profile" for 3g Streaming:

This depends on 2 things: first: the available upload speed provided by your ISP and second is the available download speed of your Mobile Provider.

Test both (from the computer the knots server runs on go to speedtest.net and post the results, then do the same from the N900) and then we might be able to create a acceptable streaming profile for your needs.

Thanks for the quick replys.

I double-checked the knots folder and there is no win32 folder inside or sqlite3.dll file. Dammit! I downloaded everything from knots2 wiki. Is there any other way to get that .dll file?

Thanks

Very strong accusation without any reasoning or facts behind it. Care to tell what are the current design flaws considering mobile usage?

ups sorry. the win32 folder is inside the "knots" folder of the git checkout.

so the dll should be in the folder c:\knots\win32 if you followed the wiki instructions

Once you git the server, there should be a "sqlite3.dll" file in win32 folder. You need to move that to a place where Windows can find it, usually c:\Windows\System32. If you don't have that directory (dunno why), try copying it to c:\Windows or c:\Windows\System. If server says the file is missing, remember to delete the appearing .config folder inside the knots folder before trying again.

How did you get past the "point the browser part"? I got through all the git stuff (via downloading git and running it in terminal) and have the Knots2 application sitting in my Applications folder, along with VLC (which is running according to the Activity Monitor, even though I didn't start it) and ffmpegX.

then your server probably isn't running (you did start "run.cmd", correct?)

you can verify if the server is running by typing "netstat -aon" into a command prompt (start / run / cmd). there should be a line containing ":1978", if it isn't, the server component didn't start properly.

edit:
sorry, i forgot that you are using mac. dunno how to do that under mac os
