You must be trying to install an older version manually. If you really want to install it, you need to enable Extras-Testing repository, and then do the update through the Application Manager (I would suggest not to upgrade the other applications that might pop up there unless you are testing those too). Once upgrade, disable the Extras-Testing repository again. Alternatively, wait for 3 more votes from the testers, and it'll be in Extras .

This morning I added one new feed and now Feedingit gets stuck on "loading." Tried re-starting, and uninstalling/reinstalling, but the problem persists. I think I need to remove it from root. Any help much appreciated, e.g., xTerm code, or another method.

This is my most used and favorite app, so I am lost at sea...

@sorodoros: can you open a X-Term, and type the command:
FeedingIt
and let me know if any messages appear there.
Then to reset it, you can do:
mv /home/user/.feedingit /home/user/MyDocs/feedingit.bak
(this will move the folder into MyDocs. You can remove it later, but I might ask you to send me a couple of files to figure out what happened).

I have this problem as well, though not with all the feeds. SOme of the feeds get all of there articles flagged as unread after a refresh. this did not happen with earlier versions.

Great app though.

Thanks,
Fred

The very first time you update after upgrading to the new version, all the articles will be reset to unread. But subsequent updates should work fine.

Here's the XTerm reply?

File "FeedingIt.py", line 682, in createWindow
self.listing = Listing(CONFIGDIR)
File "/home/opt/FeedingIt/rss.py", line 460, in __init__
self.imageHandler = pickle.load(file)
File "/usr/lib/python2.5/pickle.py", line 1370, in load
return Unpickler(file).load()
File "/usr/lib/python2.5/pickle.py", line 858, in load
dispatch[key](self)
KeyError: '\x00'

Thanks, that's one I would not have expected... Any ideas on what were the circumstances when that happened (phone crash, app crash? or anything of the sort?)?
If you haven't done the other command I mentioned earlier, you should be able to get away with this one:
rm /home/user/.feedingit/images.pickle
and that would keep your feeds intact.
