Well, worst case I'm guessing that you won't be notified about software updates, your emails won't get checked at intervals, alarms using the normal clock won't fire. Not that bad but a bit of a pain to clear up. Just guessing, I never tried it.

Hi

I've been trying to get the RSS widget to update automatically in conjunction with autodisconnect. AFAIK RSS will not initiate a connection on its own. I was wondering therefore if I can use alarmed to create a command that will 1. initiate my gprs connection 2. manually update rss and 3. disconnect gprs.

Been trying to figure it out using google but I am a bit confused.

How can I reset GPRS data counter every 30 days (not every month)?
My data plan resets after every 30 days.

@shapeshifter
I found two points regarding the alarm function that might get improved, if possible.

When setting an alarm, the upcoming screen of the alarm looks completely different from the one that the system uses. First of all: the buttons are switched. This is really annoying as one has to closely look at the buttons to see which one is for "snoozing" and which one is for ending the alarm. It would be very helpful if the layout could be the same as the system one. Also, there is no title for the alarm on the screen. At least on my device it just says 'alarm' and prints the current time. This is not really helpful, as the alarm usually has to remind me of something. When using the system clock and setting an alarm the given title is displayed, so I know what this alarm is for.

After ending the alarm (not delaying) the device doesn't always go back to the previous status (i.e. sleeping). I tried to test out if this happens regulary when first snoozing the alarm and then stopping it but I didn't succeed. When pressing stop the first time the alarm comes it goes to sleep again.

Keep up the excellent work! I love this app!

That is definitely in the area of screeching tires and broken glass. Pass ;)

new version 0.1.9-5: improved alarm dialog as requested

Sorry dude, it's pretty much impossible for me to implement this feature given the bindings provided by Nokia I'd love being able to set arbitrary, fixed intervals myself but I looked into doing it and the bindings don't provide this functionality. No can do at the moment.

Done. I switched around the buttons and added the title you enter for the event to be shown when the alarm pops up.

I don't think I have any influence on that. The alarm dialog is provided by libalarm (Nokia). Does this happen with their world clock as well (which is a frontend to libalarm just like my app)? If yes, you can simply file a bug to Nokia.
edit: I just tried this and for me it went back to sleep. I'm pretty much suspecting a bug in libalarm or "unexpected behavior" at least, but I'm pretty certain that if you have problems, this is not related to Alarmed.

Great news! I'll update and check the screen immediately!

OK, I also can't reproduce it regularly so it seems to be a bug und the underlying lib.
Anyway, thanks for trying out.

new version, improved list layout (no more side ways scrolling)

and I totally forgot to mention that since 0.1.9-1 Alarmed supports saving and using presets when doing command line executions!

updated some screenshots in the first post to reflect the changes.
