The binary seems bad - much smaller (ca. 147kb) than replaced camera-ui and, more 2 point, won't run and caused reboot loop for me. Sorted now (thanks flasher R&D) by deleting binary.

Actually, it's just stripped, the way all binaries for distribution should be.
Not sure what caused the boot loop, thinking of dumping dsmetool tbh.

Ok - stripped.... My apologies, it works. Hmmm, 1+1 ≠ (always) 2

Is it me or this is incorrectly defined? No focus with the button but quick snap. Would be nice to see it try to focus first before snapping the picture. Touch focus would be nice as well.

And there are two "A" icons.

No, the capture button just captures an image. It does not
call the autofocus.
The reason why this button looks like a "stop" button is the
same reason for the two A's. I just don't have any talent
in icon design. And so I took what is already there.
One A for automatic whitebalance and on A for
automatic iso-level.

Answering this a little late, but better than not at all...

Noted this as well. I don't know when this happens.
Funny thing is, it happens with the original camera-app as well and
reproducable. Open the original camera-ui, change scene mode to
landscape, kill the app, open the app again and the first
image uses the flash altough the landscape mode has no flash
as default.
There's a really easy way to reproduce this:
- Make sure you're in a dark place/room
- Set the flash to never fire
- It will fire during autofocus but not when taking the picture, resulting in a really dark picture.

This occurs both with the stock camera-ui and camera-ui2, leading me to believe that it's a problem with the backend.

Is the GPS info being embedded in the RAW file? I took some photos yesterday with GPS on and I am not seeing the info.

Also, would it be possible to embed the date info into the DNG file. I tried syncrhronizing the DNG to my GPS logs manually but the date / time is not embedded properly so I could not sync the DNG to my GPS logs. Thanks.

There's something i noticed about camera-ui2, when camera-ui2 is activated insted of camera-ui and i try to use any camera dependant application and press the capture button, camera-ui2 is starting, preventing me from using that application and minimize it (MIR or bless n900 for e.g.)
