If you go back in the thread you should find plenty howtos.. i will make a brief one.

1. Download leafpad and rootsh from Applicationmanager.

2. Open the Terminal and write: root

3. Then you write: leafpad /etc/pmconfig and edit max_freq to your likening. i.e. 800000 for 800mhz

Yes because it is still trying to install Titan's kernel. Do
Code:
apt-get purge kernel-maemo kernel-modules-maemo
apt-get install --reinstall kernel kernel-flasher

But did you try apt-get purge or not? What is the output?

anyway any help would be glorius thanks guys.
This too have plenty of explanations in the thread.. but will answer you as it's pretty simple.

1. Install leafpad and rootsh

2. Open terminal and write: root

3. Depending on which kernel you like lv/ulv or stock you can download them with wget.

wget http://maemory.com/N900/overclock/ke...mo20_armel.deb
wget http://maemory.com/N900/overclock/ke...mo20_armel.deb
wget http://maemory.com/N900/overclock/ke...mo20_armel.deb

If you want the other kernels you can find them here: http://maemory.com/N900/overclock/

4. write:
dpkg -i kernel-m*
dpgk -i kernel-f*
halt

5. start up the n900

6. Open terminal and write: root

7. write leafpad /etc/pmconfig

8. edit the line that say max_freq to the mhz you like. 800000 means 800mhz. And min_freq too if you like. Best is to keep that on 250000.

9. reboot.. done

Shouldn't it be: dpkg -P kernel-maemo kernel-modules-maemo

Or is apt-get enough?

Hmm, if you are purging it, it shouldn't actually give that message.... and yes, apt-get purge should be sufficient. I can't do much more without sshing into your phone I am afraid. Seems a case of broken packages.
Do
Code:
dpkg-query -s kernel-maemo kernel-modules-maemo
The last thing you can try is to try to use
Code:
dpkg -P --force-all kernel-maemo kernel-modules-maemo
