Matthew Miller? give me a break.
Q2 2011 Nokia had no WP whatsoever, Q2 2012 Nokia released their Lumia 900 and were selling half a dozen other WP at the same time. He is comparing a draught quarter where Nokia did not exist, to one where Nokia launched their flagship WP. Yet still Symbian and blackberry outsold it in that quarter of both 2011 and 2012. Those numbers are not what he believes they are. He then extends that growth to somehow mean WP8 is going to overtake them without realizing where that jump came from, Nokia buyers.
Wouldn't place too much hope on what he says. Matthew is openly a WP pusher (dare I say fanboy) looking for numbers to gain a little comfort in his platform of choice:

And....what is your point? I tend to agree with him, by the way. If you want easy to use, smoothest OS, that is idiot proof, WP is great. And that is what most individuals want. I have used lumia 710 and 800, and both are great. Much better than N9 in doing the basics.
