Why not several small 10MB updates spread over a week?
Then we will not have so many problems with full root fs.
And, of course, so we can have several Talk Threads: PR 1.2.0, PR 1.2.1, PR 1.2.2, PR 1.2.3, PR 1.2.4, PR 1.2.5, PR 1.2.6

I've got 1.39G for installable apps.. does that sound right?
Deleting OpenArena saved a lot of space.

You need to have space on the root partition in order for the update to succeed - some reading on N900 partitions is in the following brainstorm: http://maemo.org/community/brainstor...n_in_the_n900/
