It's great for us phone freaks that want all customization or linux nerds, but that's as far as it goes and that's why Nokia did not make it a big deal.

There's millions of people ready to buy that Nokia's above the competition phone the sec they get it out, but so far it has been far from it, if it's not too late already for Nokia to get free pass because of it's brand in west where it has already been surpassed by Samsung.
well it was an example. Some great unique features of the N8 were also not marketed.

anyway considering that the kbless device is the same rm686 that had is pkgs list leak then it does have busybox install maybe it only the terminals icon launcher that is missing or maybe it only shows up if you do something it the setting so that normal users dont stumble upon terminal and brick their phones

Imo the most important two that customers might actually use where, HDMI out and camera.
I defended Symbian 1-2 years ago but the phase that OS is moving is unbeliavable and doesn't deserve to be in the market compared to Android that's rightly so taking it's place.

Oh well for Nokia lover i'm sure ranting a lot today, but it just makes me sad how slow Nokia has been for the past 3 years. I would have never believed 3 years ago in what state Symbian is today and in what condition Nokia is, and no that's all to do with the managment then, Elop is either trying to save the little there's left or throw it in to the sharks. Makes no difference.

Well if the harmattan/meego device does not have the latest on the hardware side it will have to be priced accordingly to stand a survival chance...
I know for a phone dual-core does not matter as much, it might be even an overkill... but what geeky does not salivate when hear n-cores inside?

I am not quite sure this will be the case.
Examples are N97 and the most recent E7.
I fail to see how could Nokia wanted that sum of money on a weaker phone then a N900...
Actually, My friend just bought a HTC Desire Z for 200$ on eBay!
That makes the E7 a phone for the really Nokia die-hards. I also not sure how many of those left.
