Let's assume it is just so.

The opportunity for Jolla lays in its offering a long time awaited alternative to the American OS-es that dominate the market outside the us.

Many speak about phone brands but I see only Android.

Sales number wise, Nokia was doing just fine when the Americans were still loving their Motorola flip phones was it not?

Jolla has more than enough market to explore without having to burn its fingers attacking the American national pride.

In comparison just look at the legal fight Finland and the EU has put up against the American infiltration of Nokia... oh wait..

Jolla update plan was update sail once a month. How long will we be able to upgrade. Would it be safe to say that they are going same road as apple rather than Nokia? Jolla updating the OS, not the product. So if a new jolla device comes same time next year this old one will still be upgraded...

This is important release info and great sales pitch. Jolla must hit the market with some great info like this so we can spread the good stuff.

In fact jolla or the community should do a chuck Norris fact list. The list should be simple and only stuff that the basic user can do. The purpose would give uncertain users/buyers the confident to buy and will also give them some basics to spread about jolla. They would feel both families with and secure to join sail.

Upgrades more often than other vendors.

Update product even after 1,5 years

Has a store www.store. Somwhere

Can install external stores.

No data is shared with NSA(¿)

And so forth.

Yes - wouldn't the ability to install Sailfish on Android phones - and that there are planned, regular Sailfish updates - wouldn't that start to help win over customers who might be frustrated that their phone no longer receives updates?

Gain a foothold and keep supporting the OS.

I've visited other sail forum and the attitude their is much more friendly and exited. Maybe we don't want sailfish here? Maybe we want some like neo900? Maybe we have lost track of what we want and is now sad bored and dream back to the glory of n900. I rembember when n900 arrived and maybe also n9. Everybody was friendly no attacks everybody had fun while waiting, during shipment and using and reviews. Now it seems that 50% of US just want rule. whats Fun, whats facits and whats not

Where is the chat, the talk the exitment...bring IT to the surfade. IT S Only two weeks to goooooo!

Maybe the members HERE are much older and more tired of tech because they seen it all before? I want everybody looking for clues and leaks to solve the puzzle of the jolla phone.

Wake Up and Smell the Future Folks. Tick…Tick…Tick

Well, but this is possible already. All you need is a manufacturer to license Jolla. The normal user _cannot_ do this, so it's useless to speculate.

Well, I for once am excited. However, I can understand folks who know that they won't get a Jolla very soon due to geographical circumstances. Nokia != Jolla in terms of size. I could even get an N9 in a country where it wasn't officially launched, and I got it with full warranty and what not. What's not to love!

Ok, so if I "baidu" Jolla, one of the first links directs me to another search results page which directs me to http://mobile.zol.com.cn/413/4130375.html.

The date is there, but in what I recognize as Japanese characters (Kanjis), unless the Chinese ones for dates are the same? I have no idea what it says though :-)

It's nice to find actual Chinese pages with information about Jolla, especially when jolla.com doesn't have a Chinese translation any more.

Cool promo video with Marc and Sail.

We should all have party mode:ON

BTW I love the clock on n9 lock screen. Will jolla have the same?
