I would kill for a patch moving notifications (Charger plugged, Low battery, Connected, New maps to download in Here WeGo, etc.) away from the very top of the screen and 1. hiding the status bar, 2. hiding the search field in some applications. Here WeGo for instance: you start it to get your position as you realize you're getting lost, but damn you never took the time to update those offline maps, now you can only wait until all notifications go away before you can type your search terms.
Moving the notifications to the bottom of the screen (and make them easy to swipe away (for hiding) or tap (for more details) with the thumb by the way) would be good. Even better would be a patch allowing to adjust the Y coordinates to whatever you prefer, like still on the top but below the status bar.

I think if you're going that far it probably makes more sense to ask application developers not to put important functionality in a place where it could be hidden by an incoming notification.

@coderus, can you please take a look at issue #12 in , *before* SailfishOS 2.1.1 is publicly released.
I am afraid Patchmanager 2.0 might acquire a bad reputation, if automatically uninstalling all Patches on a SailfishOS upgrade fails for many, possibly leading to broad range of issues on their devices.
