it appears that Notes would perform a save when you select the 'x' to close it. I don't think it behave this way prior to PR1.2 and I do NOT like this new feature.
OT: where is the latest/greatest user manual for N900 with updated info for PR1.2. The most recent one that I found is dated 25Mar2010 issue 2(at http://europe.nokia.com/support/prod...rt/n900/guides)

Is anyone having problems with msn and aim contacts? When I click new im, I only see skype and gtalk contacts and when I go to app manager the extra protocol plugin does not want to download either
