OPK WAY is revealed and ready, MeeGo Harmattan and Symbian Belle. Where is Elop WAY? Oh yeah, it's the current share price and crappy WP7 sales.

I'm pretty optimistic that WP7 sales would pick up quite drastically with the second wave of devices. Wanna bet? seriously.

Under OPK we would've had no accouncements of any phone till mid 2012, then get a phone released probably early 2013 which probably would've been crappy, like the n96, and the n97. This is how he rolled.

LMAO @marxian...that is someTitanic ish that could very well be true. We'll wait and see. They STILL have an opportunity to change their strategy if/when this current one fails. I can see THIS Nokia and co adjusting. OPK and Co. however would stick with failing strategies for YEARS. Honestly though Nokia has nothing to lose here. WP7 fails you reshuffle funds back to R&D and finish Meego, shouldn't take long at all after seeing meego/harmattan.

The unique UI is WP7's selling point. That didn't pick up, so I doubt future devices will change that. People still remember Kin One/Two, Zune, etc.

That's purely speculative and it's interesting that it is, considering you're responding to speculation with further speculation.

How about this: I'd bet you that WP7 sales will pick up SOOOOOO drastically with the second wave of devices... that it will continue to be as irrelevant a platform as it is right now. An also-running third, possibly fourth party to the handset wars the way it is now.

...also: Oh, poor Zune... used as an example of another also-ran!

I sincerely doubt that. I do, however, suspect a continuing rise in Android sales eating everyone else's lunch.

I don't bet money, otherwise I would have invested in Nokia.. I think that alone speaks volumes all by itself.

That is very straightfoward but flawed thinking. It just goes to show simply that unique UI is NOT ENOUGH for WP7 to succeed. Microsoft HAS to excel at EVERYTHING to make an impact....unlike Apple for eg. They deserve that too
