See.. lets put it this way. I have a keyboard-less device with me. Thats the truth. I've been told this will be released to consumers. Will that happen or not ? I cannot guarantee. Simple ?

would you for a brief moment, stop and reflect on how it appears that youre bragging, if you DO have something, provide substantive information, please be constructive. if this is the only device that you have, why not just speak about the one you have, if not then continue lurking no harm no foul?

the way you continue to carry yourself, on this board will not lend itself to credibility.

I can totally understand him as he is udner NDA. I'm sure he is itching to tell us more but he knows he can't.
But he did give us "hints" so we can hopefully work out what it will be like. To me, that's not bad.

From what he has said so far:
1. 8MP AF with LED (not xenon)
2. Very nice body design, thin
3. UI/UX is amazing. Very unique and special. Lots of swiping needed. Meaning gesture controls. (you can also clearly see this from the teaser vid)
4. No hw keyboard.
5. Possibly 854x480 res LCD. (by his eye it seems)
6. Possibly single core. (not sure how he could determine this by just using it though)
7. No xterminal installed by default. (at least on his)
8. 32GB or 64GB internal storage. (suggesting 2 models possibly)

Of course, according to his hardware specs, it doesn't sound AWESOME like we imagined.
So we can only hope final product is something better or he just didn't realise it was better. =P

Have to say I agree, too. Even though I would love to be given a device for free/at a discount, and I am indeed writing an app, I feel if device availability is an issue, Nokia should still give them to the star developers first at the conference. Sure Intel/Linux Foundation won't be happy that Nokia steal the show, but hey if Nokia cares that much they wouldn't have drop Meego program.

I'm playing an xvid video in the background using mplayer while I'm typing this on my N900. I really hope N9 can do this also. I'm fully spoilt by N900's awesome multi-tasking. Other phones just feel soooo limiting...

@k123 if you really want a terminal i'll an easy foolproof way to get one (only do this if you have a flasher image+ flasher ) just wreck the software or render the gui unbootable (you can get creative here) and i am sure as long as it is runnig *nix then it will definetly spit out a terminal
i think they might have purposefuly removed terminals from the protoype so if someone (like you) decides to start leaking then they wont be able to leak to much
and could tell us how the partitioning is going on

no, there is no terminal on maemo if the UI can't be loaded anymore. Test it on the N900/another maemo device.
That's because the CPU is not x86 and doesn't have a text based mode anymore.
