I'm silently following the thread, but one question makes me very curious:
K123 or anyone who can give a usefull answer: How far the UI can be customized? Is there a classic standby screen/desktop as in symbian or maemo or from the lockscreen you are taken to the launcher directly as in iOS for example?

As smooth maybe even more. UX is different , i think it takes the simple part (app placement) and brings in advanced multitasking to it. Difficult to describe like this without telling too much. You need see it.
