do this: conect the usb both to the phone and the cpu then remove the batery an put it back again dont forget to keep holding the "u"

1 - Keep your N900 turned off

2 - Execute the command to reflash the kernel (It will say: waiting for device).

3 - Plug your N900 holding 'U' key.

I followed the instructions (p215) "exactly" but what I get during booting is the screen with N900 boot menu and then numbers corresponding the options where you would like to boot, like 0: maemo, 1: android, 2-...: etc

I did not get the screen I am supposed to see:
"1. On first boot you will get a prompt of what to use to do something, pick setupwizard" <-- dj steve's last part of instruction

when I press android it just keeps rebooting.


I did this 3 times and the same problem occured.

troubleshooting i've done:
-did tried to disable rd mode
-did tried to rm -rf /and/* prior to rootfs extraction
-did tried to flash the kernel via pc

can someone please help? Many thanks

you should try to boot from the number of your partition in my case in order to boot i have to press number 2 (maybe you should try the others numbers)
