I installed Catorise yesterday and found my cpu constantly between 10% and 20% whilst idle (even after reboot), previously it was between 2% and 4%...
After uninstalling catorise it returned to 2%-4%....
Is this a known issue/cost or just my device?
Thanks
Dan

Known issue - if you use conky you will (should) observe that the culprit in fact is hildon-desktop. Catorise triggers the problem but definitely is not the cause. Search around, as there is a fixed version of hildon-desktop available for pr1.3. I've lost track where - I am testing the CSSU and that provides a fixed version among other improvements.
Oops - just read that it occurs even after a reboot. Without using the menus at all? Reason I ask is that entering and leaving the menus is the trigger for the hildon-desktop bug.

EDIT...Had a look around - too much conflicting/confusing info for me, various links to different files claiming to be for pr1.3... Think i'll just stick to the standard app view until i have more time

Amen to the confusionOr try the CSSU. It is really quite stable and livens / freshens up the n900 experience and each and every eye on the development for bugs helps.
