i've installed the xlv 500-850 kernal everything seems fine apart from the battery life goes down pretty fast doing hardly anything just clicking power button to check time about 8 times in 2 hours.

1. battery goes down almost 10% an hour mostly idle
2. screen calibration not working it loads but after you touch screen it closes

is there any fixes for the above?

Also big thanks to everyone for kernals and info/help

When I woke up this morning I noticed something weird (with ideal kernel, put offline before sleep, conky running): it had shutdown itself at about 7am.

so a normal shutdown (I booted again at 7:30). I have no idea why?
Maybe due to ActionManager which I installed yesterday?
maybe the battery manager found the low discharge rate suspicious?
the battery graph shows a 10% discharge during sleep (incl. power intensive reboot)

apart from that the ideal kernel worked perfectly: smooth, media and radio playing OK, callout OK, low battery consumption

Now I'm going back to a new XLV [250,850] with minimally increased voltages for 250+500. the XLV kernel is updated, might fix call-out and radio problems.
the previous XLV kernel is in the directory xlv/old.
EDIT: please wait, it doesn't boot for me.

Lehto, did you have problems with your ULV 500/800 kernel?

ok, the new XLV kernel is up and should fix most problems some people have.
The ideal kernel is not updated but if it works for you consider yourself lucky.
