The ideal kernel is not updated but if it works for you consider yourself lucky.

nice observation so far: BatteryGraph shows that the battery charge is actually going UP without being connected to USB/charger!

now we have a new device class: perpetuum mobile computer
let's violate more physical laws. next I'm going to make it fall upwards...

I'm using your last night update of ideal, and working for me.
Why are you saying "you are luky"? Some added risks here??

Titan just has some issues and told that if we didn't we would be the lucky ones....

I think I will go to the new XLV right now...

Don't like to hear no go error reports

So are you abandoning ideal then? Are you seeing any issues with it? Seems to work quite well for me, though the battery charge did start falling eventually

EDIT: Just noticed your message around the shutdown. What does your /proc/bootreason say? It could be a watchdog shutdown

When Titan claims he has fixed a kernel that charges out of it self, than he can count me in!

The mysterious shutdown is the only reason why I now try the more conservative XLV.
I hope the shutdown was not due to the kernel but some other software.
We'll see how the XLV performs and whether someone else experiences a mysterious shutdown. The state according to the logs was: DSME: BOOTSTATE: 'USER'

The power-drain has stopped.

I updated to the latest XLV-Kernel and the batterygraph stays nearly on the same level since; and I installed "auto disconnect" to disconnect gprs.

About time to charge and test (again) I think... too bad noone has a charger around here.
