is there any thread for n900 cpu voltage to set. i changed n900 cpu voltage and lowered them than the default profile which is in use. will this make any hardware damage to my n900 ? so far its working fine with no restart and no battery draining.

I would suggest testing it by *recording* 720p 16:9 video (using freemandgordon's packages), at least few minutes long, and then, playing it back (also watching dmesg output) - it seems to be more "demanding" operation for SR-stability test, up to date.

For other parts of quoted post, 100% agree.

My phone does not random reboot on the Nokia kernel with SR on. Both VDD1 and VDD2 are enabled when I use the Nokia kernel.

I guess my next option is to try KP with only VDD1 on as some as suggested it is more stable for them.

Wow! So I've been running KP kernels for a while... with the "ideal" profile" as any of the low voltage ones would cause my phone to hang/reboot. With that profile, I normally see about 2-3 hours (according to battery-eye) before my battery is drained down to 1000mAh.... after a nights charge.

I switched to "dsp" yesterday (with SR enabled) and I went about 5.5 hours this morning before hitting 1000mAh. That profile is stable for me so far... I have 27 hours on it. And I've been using the phone like normal, so the power consumption and reliability so far are great! I'll have to see how it is after a full day of usage... I normally get about 16-18 hours usage before my phone makes that sad almost-dead battery sound.

You're right, but in reverse vdd2=1 is "more stable" than vdd1=1, currently.

1) Because it can be installed separately, so no need to force using it on everyone
2 ) Because during standby state with AP connected, some things doesn't work (probably, power-saving) and it eats battery a lot. Pali introduced fix for this issue, but it can be installed only (almost) via CSSU, and CSSU devs need more people *without* KP installed use it, to confirm that it doesn't contain any bugs. My personal opinion is, that it should land in CSSU-testing anyway - well, it's testing, after all - but...
