If I am not mistaken it did. I will reinstall it and check it out.

Schturman, if brightness package needs to be re-installed would the package be mce and mce-settings-001? Maybe TheN9er can re-install these two packages to fix his brightness issue...

I reinstalled it and it does allow you to change the display brightness but it doesn't allow you to change the color profile. It is stuck on vivid even if you choose normal or subdued in the stock display settings.

Try re-installing mce and mce-settings-001 after uninstalling status menu extensions...

e.g.:

apt-get install mce --reinstall
apt-get install mce-settings-001 --reinstall

reboot and report back...

apt-get install mce --reinstall
This one worked.
apt-get install mce-settings-001 --reinstall
This didn't work, it said "Couldn't find package mce-settings-001"
I rebooted after and it's still the same

If all else fails, open terminal and as root type:

Code:
apt-get install system-ui-screenlock-nokia --reinstall
reboot after the re-installation and it should work correctly...
Reporting,,

I did open terminal and done your code, but NO FIX.. Still the clock does not show when turned over screen complete black

I did a clear device before that too and it deleted everything to original state,, but what I find strange is, I think some tweaks are NOT deleted i.e fonts in messaging is still enlarged Tweak X.. Maybe and maybe there's some other tweaks stuck too that are causing the standby issue too in addition when the time is shown it's very bright now and I think that could be due to that..

Darn thing, I know I followed all steps perfectly on every tweak and my White N9 worked awesomely until the last toggle tweaks etc...

I'm a MacBook Pro owner and can't use software updater to reinstall PR 1.3 and flashing seem so complex... I would love to find a solution for this as I love my N9 and don't want to resort to my Iphone or N8..

HELP would be highly appreciated!!! Maybe an easier way to reinstall PR 1.3 as I think that would take care of things??

Does that mean it will wipe it clean to original state vs RESTORE SETTINGS??

Sorry for all the questions, I don't have a vast experience with my N9 as most of you.

Thanks!

Tip: Read the information (i) icons next to options to understand them better...

Anyway, Clear Device is starting afresh while Restore Settings is simply resetting some tweaks and keeping your personal data...

If you really want to get rid of everything under the sun and start anew do Clear Device...

Just a side note to others: "Clear Device" does exactly what "Restore Settings" does, but also deletes some personal files.

However, most tweaks done by N9QuickTweak still remain even after you choose "Clear Device". But the phone will now be bug free, if you had any bugs previously.

Also, some apps still remain.. and some are deleted. I dunno how or why, but I tried clear and restore options recently, and got those results.

So, "Clear Device" does NOT mean "hard format".. it's just clearing the settings, files, some bugs and stuff, apparently. If you really wanna "format" or "start fresh", you'll have to flash it. Keep that in mind while using N9QuickTweak.

If you don't want to flash, or if you're a n00b, then read Schturman's PDF file very carefully. It's there for a purpose.
