What tablet issue??? Jolla has no tablet issue. The tablet has been completely and successfully designed. It is ready for production and shipping right now. Jolla's only problem is that it has run out of money...

What tablet issue? The one that you just explained.

So you don't think that is an issue? ITs a gigantic issue.

I guess no solution yet then. And we have no evidence that it's only money. Could be, or could be more. But who cares as long as Jolla ship it to its customers as soon as possible.

Maybe Jolla could create a campaign with Jolla laptop and put all the funding in the OS, while skip the laptop. No one sees a problem with that?

You're kidding. Jolla create a campaign? With what money? Who will craft and run the campaign, if there are no employees?

Today, Jolla is facing an existential threat. Rearranging the deck chairs as the ship is sinking will not solve anything.

Presumably a reference to the childish argument that goes something like this:

"Jolla took muh money and spent it on software development instead of hardware and there's a HUGE CONSPIRACY and FRAUD"

...which completely fails to recognise that the "software development costs" are just staff costs and are pretty much fixed. There has been plenty of communication from Jolla about the cause of the delay, i.e. hardware issues and waiting for parts and/or for the factory to finish doing other "more important" orders etc.

I'd like to hear Dave explain how he thinks those problems could have been solved by having software engineers spend their time differently, because that's where the cost is. Having those engineers not working on tablet related software features wouldn't have helped get you the tablet any sooner.

Two words: Project Management.

Cut sw development in order to deliver the product. Basically, in bussniess you can't spend money you dont have even IF some counties, organztion and individuals seems to think so. If you collect money make sure to deliver or you are in trouble and get lecture by Dave999 in Some obscure thread @TMO.

Sw would be behind what we have today. Yes, But tablet would be out and Jolla would be free of customer/investor debt and could move more freely and could even launched a Sailfish OS campaign to collect money...
