I thought you believed that the subject was incorrect, thereby making your post off-topic as well... Sir?

Seriously though, if you read this thread in context; the very post confirmed the existence/release of N9 because at the time we were not 100% sure of it or even its name/model number.

In its defense, the subject did not say it's OUT, AVAILABLE (to buy) or whatever.

Save your patronisOng for another member but as i have already stated the TITLE of this thread is wrong and misleading, having said that it still is a mega thread as i commented way way back on here.

giving away what i think is either me going crazy trying to decipher the n9 videos or a possibility of an answer for n9seconds. Both times in video 1 and video 6 as they are about to get into the cab the camera closes in on their feet. On video 1(ballerina) on the bottom sole of the chicks foot are numbers if you pause just at the right frame. on video 6 (watch guy) as he steps into puddle there are numbers on his shoe. in both videos they are very bland.

also video 6 again once door is closed on the cab they zoom in on handle. It looks like there are numbers on the handle at the right frame.

*edit* oopss...forgot to add the link:

Of course it's dropped meteorically in Google trends, look at all of Nokia's actions & subsequent media coverage.
If Nokia's approach had been different, then I dare-say Google trends wouldn't look half as bad.
But sadly that will forever remain a "if only", and we'll never know...
Another big factor is the ridiculously long time between announcement and availability.
Whether this is deliberate or incompetence I don't know, I suspect the latter or a combo.

Ergo himself conceded it may not have been the vkb, but the fact that he only used it for 5-10min.
It is slightly different in layout/size, plus I think he said the guy before him had less trouble.*
Did you ever chase-up the provisioning issue with lm like I suggested, I think that's his area IIRC?
Does the iPhone do it flawlessly out of the box, or with a commercial app?
What else are you unhappy about wrt Harmattan?

Not sure I agree with the buggy/crappy software history assertion, depends on usage scenario/s I guess.
Symbian UI has been 'crapola' for way too long, but there was many areas it was (& still is) arguably superior in.
Maemo also had many unique traits & i never found it to be "buggy", just **** when it came to online services & commercial apps.

*Also IIRC, earlier in this thread some N950 owners highlighted the functionality/performance of the vkb.
So if you didn't see that, you may want to back-track....
Of course it may not be as good as the vkb on the newer build that the N9 will use, but a good rough indicator.
