Thanks for the replies.

Qole: Did you edit the /etc/asound.conf to make the sound working? I downloaded your image and the .conf file isn't the same as the one given to me in the link.

Anyone have the libgcc3_uno.so file so we can replace it?

is device-mapper driver missing from kernel?
Failure to comunicate with kernel device-mapper driver.

What can I do to resolve this error ?
I have updated the wiki and added a paragraph for those that want to download the image manually. Please look at it, follow it, and let me know if something doesn't make sense.

Then, what I would say is to uninstall Easy Debian, reboot, and install it again. Then try it one more time. By the way, where exactly are you placing the downloaded image?

I am placing it in /home/user/MyDocs folder. This will be the third time when I will repeat the process..... :|

Are you getting Easy Debian from extras-testing or extras-devel?

MisterSorin: You have somehow managed to install the Diablo version of Easy Debian (for the N810). The Fremantle (N900) version does not use any of the device mapper binaries, because they aren't needed in Maemo 5.

EDIT: It sounds like your image file is not the problem here. You don't need to download it again!

@rm42, what do I have to do with that file ?
@qole I don't know why my device installed the diablo version of easy debian, I downloaded it for maemo 5 debian-m5-v2.img.ext2.bz2. What do I have to do to start debian ?

MisterSorin, like I said, it isn't the big image file that is the problem. You need to install easy-chroot_0.2.3-1fremantle1_armel.deb and easy-deb-chroot_0.9.36-1fremantle1_armel.deb not the Diablo versions that you appear to have installed instead.
