trying to record the 'Tour de France'
the TV schedule lists it as Live Cycling.

This is the sms title

You: Live Cycling.ITV4.11/07.15:00
------------------------------------------------
We couldn't find your programme. Use the format: Title. Channel. Date DD/MM. Time HH:MM. You must use the full stops. Or just the Title for a wider search.

Hi cardiff-blues,
sorry Ive been away for sometime so didnt get a chance to have a look. Some programme titles are unfortunately not found/dont work when sent to SKY. Ive faced this a couple of times too, the reason being
1. This is not an official sky application so the titles may not match .
2. The titles come from an external source that generates xmltv data which as you understand is not sky, and sometimes even their scripts can goof up a bit the information extracted.

but its only with some programme titles and Ive not noticed a pattern yet unfortunately. Perhaps too late but Ill try to check this if this is still available on the schedule.

Many thanks. No worries. It's not the end of the world or anything.
Thanks for your hard work.

Hi Dr.MZ,

apologize, I havent got the time to spend here due to a rough phase I am in at the moment, but hopefully Ill be back in action soon.

btw, as I said none of the translations worked, the QT linguist was crashing when I opened the files you guys sent me, I tried to figure out then but didnt find what the issue was, maybe the format .qph has some issues.

Let me know if I could send you the new format .ts , I will also double check it works, do you think you could send me back the translations again in that format.

It would take me ages if I do them all again, which was what I had attempted to do .

sorry again to all for the update being this late but I will be releasing it first thing when Im back to maemo development.

Hi ! Nice application but I'm living in Switzerland and we are here used to watch TV programs from our neighbours (France, Germany or Italy).
It would be nice to be able to enter in settings the url where to download the xmltv file. We could then use services that can provide this information for selected channels (like kazer.org, thnaks to him). Grimfa

Will have a look to see if I can provide that feature easily where a user can provide the url for xmltv.
The issue is sometimes these files are provided in different ways by different providers, for example some club all channels and all days together in a zip file, some provide 1 xmltv file for a week , some may provide 1 xmltv file per day etc.

How about I add this website you mentioned for swiss, something like an option ? this sounds like a quick patch.

cheers

@krk969: An imdb plugin like the one in tvbrowser would be
a nice feature for the future.

I checked a few channels like BBC1, sky movies comedy, comedy central, animal planet all seem to match the timings on showtime.
I remember fixing the UK region(v1.2-5) by taking into account the daylight savings since the data provider used to change this.

can you give me an example of a channel that has listings an hour out ?

cheers
