i had same problem with earlier versions too.
i also tried delete config files, but it didn't help.
i never got it working with wifi.

i don't have any ideas that what it can be.

Sounds very strange indeed. Only what I can think about at this point is some connection problem due to firewall / proxy configuration. Do you have any such in use with your wifi connection?

maybe it's my firewall in modem.
is there any port that must forwarding to N900?
i can't turn off firewall from modem, only forward ports.
any ideas?

I have it today with 3G also.....And my friend have it too with 3G, so the problem isnt just with WIFI

I will check how the connection is handled and on what port the communication is using, and get back to you. Hopefully we can find a solution to your problem.

So you are not able to login at all using QSpot at the moment?

I looked at the implementation in more detail, and the error message is caused in case there is a problem connecting to the spotify servers (several different ones are tried before giving up), or there is some problem resolving the DNS records for the Spotify servers. I still need to look at what ports are used etc.

Also would it be possible for you to provide xterm output when the login fails?
