Only difference is that now I have the current weather on display.

Tested - working as supposed! When LPM is toggled OFF icon disappears. I will test a little bit further, but so far looks OK.
PS. Can you give us a hint where was the glitch? I am just curious.

I've added calling for changing parameter "/desktop/meego/screen_lock/low_power_mode/operator_logo" to not existing file for redraw Screen.

Yes, just big temperature reading is better for a quick glance, current method make it looks fuzzy and a bit too small to recognize (ie. weather.com gives 2 value for night and day + icon)
