On my old N900 (warranty already expired) the USB port broke...
Fortunately I found a company which repairs it (soldering a new USB port on the board) for under € 100,-.

I feel your pain... but no..
Repair or toss it.
Well i send mine to nokia expecting another...:
" we don't have the parts"...but i didn't ask for it
"we are too stupid repair"..
"solder usb port....solder.....only people in production/fabrication section know that word.."
"aliens stole our sense of business and sense of customer service...we now suck so will try it with windows...2 or more failures are better then 1"
