Did you do it as root in terminal? Did you reboot? As it works for me...

Post your terminal output of exactly what you did and what was the result...

Sorry I didn't put the extra 's' !!!

Yes the installation seems to work fine according to the log. Can't understand why it doesn't work for me

Edit: It says that 0o/128 has to be taken from archive ....

But then installation seems to work normally ...

Are you connected to the internet?

This is what you should get before clicking on 'Y':

RM696-21-3_PR_005:~# apt-get install duicontrolpanel-soundsettingsapplet --reins
tall
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following packages will be upgraded:
duicontrolpanel-soundsettingsapplet
1 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 1 reinstalled, 0 to remove and 4 not upgraded.
Need to get 128kB of archives.
After this operation, 0B of additional disk space will be used.
Do you want to continue [Y/n]?

Edit: Once you click 'Y' it will fetch 128kB of data...If it doesnt it means the re-installation isn't done correctly..

I got the exact same than you except :

1 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 1 reinstalled, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Need to get 128kB of archives.

In my case, it says that Need to get 0o/128o from the archive (sorry I translated the french indication ...)

That's my file...Maybe you want to incept it and install? I'm not sure if it will work but maybe you can try...

Because if your system is getting 0kb/128kb it means re-installation isnt working...

You don't need incept it, just install via dpkg -i..
Try also to uninstall tweak T-3 before..
