depends on how close you stack 'em...
the correlation 'tween violence and stressed (unnatural) urban environments with little to no interaction with nature, coupled with stacking and cramming people in small areas will always result in an eventual negative impact on the inhabiting individuals...same goes for alot of other species.
We are after all an animal...affected and developed by environmental circumstance.

Ideologically...the same applies.

A- those nations WITH moderate to abundant valuable natural resource ...tend to have gov't that is moderate, socialistic and/ or capitalistic...with a relatively peaceful population...the gov't CAN afford to be benevolent.
B- those nations with little to no valuable natural resource..tend to have gov't that is militant, religious or dictatorial...because there is little to go around it is policed. Likewise violence and ignorance are perpetrated and instilled in the population...since it is easier to subjugate and rule an uneducated populace. Also public unrest is wont to be high with a population that has less freedom, personal wealth and fear and uncertainty concerning the future for themselves and others. ...the gov't CANNOT afford to be benevolent..peace, order and rule of law must be maintained.

Let's say we could travel and live everywhere in the universe. Would we as the total population of humans in that country be more peaceful?

Hmm...it depends on how it all starts...and from there continues....with violence...then it is definitely harder a pattern to break...the hot-spots of violence on the planet are testament to (for the most part) issues which arose so long ago no one remembers what they were...but the violence breeds more. If love is a very time consuming and long-in-the-making soft wave...violence is the stone dropped into the water in compare...it damages and the ripples can go for a long time and be picked up and used by others readily and easily.

..if the purpose of the creation of the nation is...for example...the 3 tenets of the U.S. are "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness"
you are engineering the direction of your people with those tenets in mind.
In Canada our 3 primes are "peace, order, and good governance"
(we do struggle with the last...but we try)
It depends...in the end how the country is founded...the method it is implemented, the individuals who affect change in it...
and lastly how they behave towards their fellows, their neighbours, and their environment...which can dictate future citizen behaviour for hundreds of years.

We do have the ability to rise above our baser nature.
When we shine as a species...I have a hard time seeing it our species as human...maybe something more...something better...
Our baser natures have kept us alive individually and as a species ...so I cannot consider our baser instincts either ...baby or bathwater...
But ...sadly it is sooo much easier to become violent than to work things out...which is the harder way....

there was a think tank in the states that does long -range forecasting...about 10yrs ago stated...
the U.S. although strong and a force ...and will continue to be so....is diminishing in it's might...and this will continue...their supremacy is eclipsed by emerging India...manufacturing and telecom power...Russia ...the European natural resource power of Europe...and China who for the next 150 years will be the rising star...
