Hope that it comes soon. Considering switching to android...

Just thought I'd say "hi" as a new member.

I've been a UIQ and S60 (currently using a Nokia e90 communicator) user for a number of years on my PDA/smart phones and am a big Linux user on my desktops but am new to the world of Nokia tablets.

The N900 looks to be a good combination of the above so I thought I'd take the plunge - although the relatively poor IMAP support and the lack of syncML over HTTP are going to cause me a big headache until I find a work around.

I'm from a development back ground although I don't get to do as much coding nowadays as I do more management of other devs. Hopefully the n900 and maemo community will give me a chance to do some useful coding in my spare time again though.

Hi.

A new face to this forum, though I've been lurking around for months already before registering. I decided to do it now, before the "N900 meet" in Helsinki, hoping that I could update something about the launch schedules as/when/if we hear anything about them on Wednesday eve.

Otherwise, I'm a "technology enthusiast", but a "bisness user" for the new N900.

Hola!

Decided to grab an account here at last, been lurking the place for a while.

I'm currently doing some game development for handheld devices, trying to piece up a SDL+OpenGL ES framework that I could easily simultaneously develop on both Maemo and iPhone (shhh).

Too bad I'm such a noob on linux and having a hard time figuring out how to add libraries such as SDL into scratchbox and get the thing running. Maybe some day.

Compiled and ran my maemo helloworld on the emulator, that's a start, right?

Cheers,

I wrote a few programs for Windows using .NET but never wrote anything for Linux. I just hope it's not too hard and I can make some cool apps
