10:43AM Apparently Nokia Mango devices already exist, are already being tested, somewhere in a lab... somewhere...
they mean that the first Nokia device will have mango, not the first mango device!!

Ahh ok, makes more sense now, lol. Got scared for a second.

In other words, their Augmented Reality seems pretty good :O
They got the History Channel and Weather Channel backing it up...
But yea, back to MeeGo now, lol

That same engadget article quotes a release of Q3 2011 for Windows 7.1 iirc.... if the first Nokia phone will have this release i would expect hardware around that same time

2) The 'think' we are technical group, no programming experience but reasonably technical.

3) The not so technical users, 'oh I like that phone' or 'shiny shiny....' group.

Obviously there 3 > 2 > 1. Every company wants group 3 & 2, but none can survive without group 1.
Companies in mosts cases pays for group 1, FOSS being an exception of course.

Just want to add something,Nokia now even in falling mode (Elopcalypse) holds still as I believe the second most recognised brand for the masses(outside USA) in the mobile-industry behind Apple and Samsung closely behind.
IMO if Nokia wants to avoid every risk that comes from putting all eggs in one basket they need to push N9/950 as much as they can in order to survive a potential WP debacle before losing their brand recognition-> Only chance for us to get dual-core and all the goodies

to clarify a little bit:
WinPhone is intended for Nokias Smartphones. Boring, proved to sell well Smartphones.
MeeGo will be used for "future distruptions", exiting new inventions, not proven at market, which will fail or change the whole mobile devices landscape.

^^

ah and btw. confirmed from another, different source: there *will* be the developer device with keyboard and the consumer device without one. ^^

Any idea if N9 is going to be announced at the Meego conference - sorry if you've answered it before, but the pace of this thread is too much to read everything.

@ zymo
why we have already exhausted the n9 topic and until someone probably k123 zek or nvy us gives something new we might as well keep the thread alive but dont worry if there is even just a nugget of information/based speculation we will be all over it like a bunch of hungry pirhana in no time
