My limited testing has shown that the bt-mice patch is the culprit behind bluetooth headsets not working issue. I built KP49 without this patch and Nokia BH214 is working well now.
Is there any chance to provede some info to help identifying/solving the issue?

Just remember, that usage of mice > usage of headset.

Seriously though, I can't imagine how path, that remove single line (thus, removing conflict) to enable proper work with bluetooth mouses, can make headset to oops.

Yet, it has been mentioned as culprit so many times, that maybe it got some truth. I just hope, it won't end as "choose between two kp versions, one support bluetooth mice, and another, this set of headsets...)".

@Estel

concerning the reboot issue, i would suggest you to run the reboot command from an ssh session.
The first time as "root" user and second time as "user".
Verify if there is a different behavior or something that user can't do generating an exit 1...

I don't think likewise. Most people still use the N900 for calling someone you know, and it's actually quite helpful not having to hold it to your ear for >60min Skype calls or having to be naer it for using the loudspeaker, while being abroad while having to do stuff at the same time which requires you to let the N900 sit on the desk somewhere. You are a minority, using N900 with external mouse & keyboard.

This is what happens when I don't come to this forum for a month or two. I miss completely awesome developments like plans to set up seperate repos and considering adding kernel-power into the CSSU.

With that I rescind my statement pushing for the forkage.

Haha, that's why I've added "seriously though" line after that. Yet, of course, You're basically wrong, cause we're computer first, phone second...

Seriously though I'm pretty sure freemangordon will finally kick this bug a**, if not directly, maybe via some "if" wrapper.

No, we are primary a communication device, docking station-compatible computer is a nice secondary use (for some).

Btw, i didnt install any new codecs or anything. Only updated the kernel to v49 without the bt-mice patch.

Try any of the mp4 from here http://feeds.feedburner.com/cnet/top5?format=xml . They work in KP48 but not in KP49.
