There are currently not too many Honeycomb apps, but some of them look promising:

Introducing FUZE meeting:

http://www.androidcentral.com/fuzebo...-now-available (VIDEO)

This app looks, frankly, amazing. For anyone that's had to suffer through a meeting, the only thing that could make it better is if you weren't forced to be in the same room with the other participants. Enter Fuze.

This promises to make meetings slightly more productive with ways to share information as well as video. For those individuals that don't have an Xoom or iPad, they can join the meetings via the web -- handy.

A sign of a well-designed implementation is its freedom from exception.

It seems that Android's in-app billing is a well implemented tool:

Looking good, though way overdue.

Am guessing by formating my internal memory I lost everything, but doesn't TB store my backed up apps on the directory listed below?

External storage: /mnt/sdcard
Backup directory: /mnt/sdcard/TitaniumBackup

So my information is backed up on the EXTERNAL SD card; isn't it?

Please Help...Thanks
Should be, yep! If you use ASTRO (or even just the "My files" browser the Tab came with) to browse the SD Card, does the TitaniumBackup directory exist? I expect that if it exists, and all your old data is there, all you have to do is go to TitaniumBackup, tap the "Backup/Restore" tab at the top of the screenand all your new apps will show up top--with all the missing apps scratched out toward the bottom. You can tap an already-existing app to JUST restore settings by just choosing to only restore Data (not the app), or else restore both with App+Data.

Alternatively, if you've either paid for the app or have enormous patience, tap the MENU button, tap on "Batch", then tap on the "RUN" button for one of the "Restore" options (i.e. "Restore missing apps with data" or "Restore all apps with data").

This neat application will recognize a song that's playing using only your devices microphone. Very handy for those tunes that you would like to know the names of.
Soundhound didn't work for me. None of the music played in-app (had to search YouTube every time) and the music/voice recognition was slooooooow and very inaccurate.

That's good to know! I'm curious about how the tech works. I can begin to imagine how to write an algorithm that could fingerprint an music in part or whole, though I'm curious how the soundhound group implemented theirs.

This is a neat interface for zooming in Touchwiz 4.0:

http://www.engadget.com/2011/03/29/s...n-touchwiz-4-0

Notice that you hold two fingers on the display, then move it towards you, or away from you to zoom. I quite like this form of gesturing, and can see some novel implementations using it.

In general, I would like to see browsers implement an option for two finger scrolling/zooming, and one finger mouse pointer movement. In this way, it can operate almost identically to current desktop-browsers.

I can see why Vodaphone wanted the first, fatter Tab 10.1V. So that they could beat people to market!

http://www.thegalaxytab.com/2011/03/...rom-mid-april/

It seems that they are on an aggressive timeline to release this produce mid-April.

Regarding pricing, the tablet will be able to be purchased for AU$729 outright which includes 6GB of data expiring in 3 Months. Also a 12 Months plan is available for AU$15 / Month, 1.5GB included, upfront payment of AU$259 and AU$24 monthly instalment.

The Galaxy Tab 10.1v sold by Vodafone is the version that Samsung presented at MWC 2011 and it’s different to the version presented at CTIA 2011. Galaxy Tab 10.1V it’s a bit thicker (by 2.3mm) than Galaxy Tab 10.1, it will receive an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera compared to the 10.1 and will not feature Touchwiz UI featured at CTIA 2011 by Samsung.
The price? $729AU . This does not seem too crazy considering that Australian electronics prices seem to be very, very high normally.

Here is the incredibly cool Samsung Stick:

http://www.ubergizmo.com/2011/03/sam...-stick-insect/

I've been waiting for this device for a long, long time. Perfect for using the Tab as a phone, for those of us that require this feature, though not as often as having a device in your pocket.

Sold.

It seems that the HTC flyer has gotten its own preview video:

http://www.androidcentral.com/htc-flyer-youtube-video

VIDEO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzn9L...ature=youtu.be
OFFICIAL SITE: http://www.htc.com/www/product/flyer/overview.html

Wow.. Suddenly the HTC Flyer has shot up 10 points in my book. The pen looks truly useful with a great suite of applications. Onlive gaming baked in a huge plus.

I just hope that the pen is a digitizer in that it will ignore other touch events on the screen. If so, I can use it like paper, and this is a win in my book.

I will look for reviews, but the Tab 8.9 suddenly has a new competitor.

Not a bad deal at all!
The £299 UK ASDA deal is out of stock but Amazon UK have it now but this price gets you the WiFi only version.

However I think I shall put my wallet down and wait for the HTC 7" Flyer.

The specs are much more appealing, aluminium body, 1.5 GHz processor (not sure if it has Tegra though) and 1G RAM. Also I prefer to have a HTC device over Samsung

I am sorry if this is old news but I only pop by from time to time. And each time the Thread has grown by 20 pages, too fast for me to catch up.

I guess I have answered my own question regarding the future for 7" tablets. It looks good.
