AIS has nothing to do with disconnecting, it has only option to turn off WLAN after given timeout after it got disconnected.

@all
as autobuilder madness does not seem to stop, I can attach here deb.

Hey 412b (and all),

I have some weird behaviour with internet connection (WLAN).
I am pretty sure it is not related to AIFS, but it comes close to above post and I think this is the best place to ask at first (as it could be caused by AIFS).

Let me describe:
- sometimes the wlan is not detected automatically and I need to connect manually
- connection is established and everything OK, besides that the wlan symbol is blinking all the time has if it still tries to connect)
- when idle, after some time the symbol is not shown anymore. What happens now is the weird thing:
the connection is still alive, as I can still browse the web. But clicking on status menu, also the staus menu shows "no internet connection". So stock menu and AIFS show the same wrong info. But when I open the ui-conndlgs, then it shows I am still connected to my WLAN.
Only a reboot helps out here. Do you (or any other) have an idea what is causing this inconvenience. This happened since a few months, so I am not sure when the first time or if it was after some update or whatever. And again, I am convinced it is something strange on my device, but ...

--edit
some more info: in above situation (where stable inet connection can browse the web, but being displayed as "not connected" also the email modest does not update/recognize inet connection(even when clicking manually on send/receive). wtf?

Another small "working sometimes, not always" report.

Sometimes when I shut down wlan and interface is still connected, after enabling again wlancond is not recognizing any WiFi network at all.
Manually disabling and enabling again solves.

So I investigated a bit and I have a solution for me:
I added a 3 seconds sleep just as first command in /usr/bin/advifsw/wlan_down.sh to let icd do it's disconnection work (1s was just not enough, so I choose 3s).

Here is the diff:
Code:
~ $ diff /usr/bin/advifsw/wlan_down*
--- /usr/bin/advifsw/wlan_down.sh
+++ /usr/bin/advifsw/wlan_down___sh.ori
@@ -1,8 +1,6 @@
 #!/bin/sh
-sleep 3; #peterleinchen, need some time to disconnect properly
 ifconfig wlan0 0.0.0.0
 ifconfig wlan0 down
 sleep 1
-#sudo stop wlancond
-stop wlancond; #peterleinchen, added wlan search stop
+stop wlancond
 /usr/bin/advifsw/exec.sh ./post-down
Now it works always reliably.

Another report, only concerning devices suffering the "all telephony functions disabled" where ais will not show up in the status menu.
Please see here.

I love Advanced Power and Advanced Interface Switcher but in the last few days the applets are not coming up.
I can go into powatool uncheck everything, reboot and recheck every box and get my battery and wireless switches for about an hour but it doesn't keep past a reboot. Even loading a good backup image results in problems after updating everything to current version.
I am hoping this is a solved problem as I dislike loosing most of my app settings again by restoring.
