Thanks for the hint... I did flash my other N800 to this firmware and did not restore backup. The wake up from sleep is instant.

Also the screen brightness has 5 steps, when on my other N800 which I did restore backup has 10... (The 5 brightest one do not have any effect.)

Also the bug #2513 (Application menu open/close inconsistently) doesn't seem to exist with a fresh flash.

The backup I had restored was built from scratch on earlier Chinook version. So, it looks like restoring backup is almost always a bad idea?

An other mirror with .md5 (located in Hungary): http://szucsati.info/internettablet/firmware/n800/

I need to buy a wlan router.. OS2008 just doesn't work with Fonera. OS2007 worked with the public signal, this one dies with both public and private .

Anyone know of any mirrors for the linux flasher-3.0 utility? as tablets-dev is swamped, I'm having a hard time getting it.

I thought Texrat's comment was funny. And I picked one of the alternate sources for downloading and I have downloaded, just finished at 4:33 p.m. PST, California, started about 10 mins ago.

I can understand the hysteria, but geeze, how about a bit of self-awareness. This isn't exactly the end of the world...
