Yeesh, well, step one is to clean out your application catalogue. . . .

This means that at least most of the update has run (it should read diablo/ instead of diablo-1/ if it hadn't). Other than the version string, is there anything else that leads you to believe it's not installed? Does it appear OK in Application manager?

Hi HowHH

That allowed me to install the bootmenu.deb but it never found the extra possible boot on the SD card so it just boot from the flash though the start menu looks ok - but I think the only option is flash - goes by too quickly. It doesn't work the same way it used to...

Anyone have some other ideas?

@c: what is the current status of your tablet, it boots or not?

If not, can you type out the bootmenu screen, we will try to figure it out.

Well, everybody, it never occur to me, we have hijacked GA's thread. And please carry on these boot problem discussion here, http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...ad.php?t=22771. Sorry, GA, we should be much more sensitive than these, and it is real courtesy of you NOT to kick us out. Please carry on the discussion of Diablo update here, but take the boot problem to the other thread.

Edit: see below, dont have to move, GA said it is OK

Pfft, I don't subscribe to the on-topic nazi mentality. Discuss whatever you feel like discussing. I don't own this thread any more than I own the thoughts in somebody else's brain.

Topics are like conversations, they go wherever they go.

Thanks GA! I remember seeing something like that on the other people's thread "......if you dont mind, please take the discussion somewhere else....." and I would NOT like to be booted. In this case, why dont we just carry on here..... discuss whatever we want, boot, problem, praises, happiness.

Hi Bun

Everything is back to normal. I was pressing the wrong button during the boot up and not the home key. I used the centre key of the d-pad because I remembered using the keys around it to select which image I want to boot from. All works fine now - more or less back to normal and both images are updated and working...

The problem was I hadn't booted my system for over a month (just keeps running) and I forgot how to do it... ;( All is well now

I ran apt-get update, apt-get upgrade, and then apt-get dist-upgrade.
It installed about 60 packages. It never asked to reboot and it still says the old version in the about menu. But more troublesome is the fact that I can't apt-get install or apt-get upgrade anymore:
Code:
login as: root
