Just installed 0.0.5, the basic idea is there.
Thanks, magnuslu and everybody else, great app. It will be very useful especially for people in the US, we don't get to watch the games so easily.

I did have to install the libqt4-webkit, and the first lunch crashed.

Kangyu, El Amir, thanks a lot for your offer to contribute here!
But the app does not rely on user uploads. Magnuslu gets the data from an online source - SoccerDB. Data on SoccerDB is uploaded by the online community. You may, but dont have to upload results there...A feature to upload from the app is planned by Magnuslu.

(for further details on data source(s) see discussions in this thread)

I notice that after reading the post toward the end, it is a long post..

I am looking at the www.livescores.com for Chelsea game. just look around on their website, find this screenshot, of course for iphone only, but looks nice. I believe we will have something like that, or even better.

http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/lives...ign-mpt=uo%3D6

One thing I cannot find from livesocres is standings.

When it comes to sports sites that works well on the NIT I've used the http://devphones.appspot.com/nfltoday/#home site with good results (it looks better on my N810 than on the PC due to ads not showing on it for some reason)

I like the UI as well and it even looks a bit Maemo5ish.

No worries, its for sure a pain to read every post in a monster thread like this one...Unfortunately repeating or off-topic posts make this even worse.

I think because of that creating a QSportsEvent wiki page was a good idea from Magnuslu to give new users a quick overview of what the app is about.
(For those interested news and updates from Magnuslu can even be followed here via Twitter / RSS.)

Maybe the community can help Magnuslu completing and updating the wiki?

Hi guys,

I've also found this calendar that if you want you could add to your N900.

enjoy.

P.S keep up the great work on this app :-)

I read the wiki, and was trying to find how to install. But it says "from this (to be inserted) post", which forced me to look through this post.

Is any reason not putting the post in the wiki?

I guess the only reason is that Magnuslu seems to be focused on coding (See his Twitter)
I would do it myself, but I have no garage account yet and first of all a very tight work schedule. Won´t have a lot time to help here for the next 4 weeks due to a business trip to Asia.

Maybe someone else can support Magnuslu here and keep some administrative tasks away from him so he can concentrate on coding?

OH YES, thanks for the hint.
Calendar integration is something for To-Do-List!?
E. g. let the user create a calendar entry for certain matches / events right from the app. There is a app that does exactly this for TV shows, its called "Showtime".
Unfortunately this is another feature that would require another data source as SoccerDB does not provide match times, right?

What do you think Magnuslu? Possible? Realistic?
