It already exists. "Operator Name Applet" (if you want the settings in your settings menu) and "Operator Name Widget" (if you want the settings to be available as a desktop widget).

Unless you're talking about picture support? Either way, seems better to focus on improving what we already have than starting over. It shouldn't be too hard to add image support to Qwerty12s work if you have knowledge in C.

features i think of in an operator logo plugin.

- custom Font and custom font size
- multicolor (for different parts of text)
- image support
- alligne operator logo Left, Center, Right

Qwerty12 made it great so far, but it lags at least the custom font and font size option...

I have no dev skills at all, so I count on you gurus in here.

I think this would be best moved to a new thread, rather than tacking onto a thread on a different topic.

When I try to update my older version, I get a message saying there was a dpkg error. The log says

WARNING: The following packages cannot be authenticated!
advanced-clock-plugin
Authentication warning overridden.
(Reading database ... 37565 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to replace advanced-clock-plugin 0.7.1-0 (using .../advanced-clock-plugin_0.12.3_armel.deb) ...

trying to overwrite `/opt/maemo/usr/bin/advanced-clock-plugin-settings-ui', which is also in package advanced-clock-plugin-settings-ui
Errors were encountered while processing:
/var/cache/apt/archives/advanced-clock-plugin_0.12.3_armel.deb
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Suggestions? I tried deleting some files mentioned above, but I don't know how to do this properly.

Excuse the inconvenience.
This is because I had shipped the plugin and the UI in two distinct packages which are now combined into a single package.
You have to uninstall advanced-clock-plugin-settings-ui in order to upgrade.
You can do so by running (as root):
Code:
dpkg -r advanced-clock-plugin-settings-ui
Edit:
In order to remove this you might need to uninstall Advanced Clock Plugin before:
Code:
dpkg -r advanced-clock-plugin
Then you should be ready to install the new version.

Is it possible for the binary clock to show the hours as a twelve-hour mood with four dots instead of five?

Hi.

Could you imagine an option to switch clock styles individually to the desktop?
- Like on Desktop1 you got the binary clock and on desktop2 you got the decimal clock etc...

Feasible... If you'd like I'll make that clock style for you. (I haven't looked at binary clock code lately, but I'm sure it's not hard.)

I second this. I myself would probably never use it (though I might... *Shrug*), and I foresee major pita-age in implementing it... But on the other hand, it is a great idea, so that the people who do want it can get the option to use it.
