I do not deny it is a problem that exists, just stating the fact that for some odd reason that bug has not bitten me. The reason for that is unknown

There have been just couple of instances of mobile data getting in a confused state over the past 3 years, and all I think while I have been commuting on train and there has been a hard handover from one RAN to another.

Strange story that i need to check more:

- Three people in the same car with JollaC, S5 Neo and an iphone (don't know which one, but not from the latest.)
- SIMs from the same provider.
- all have roaming enabled and data disabled when on roaming.

We drive and lose connection (we are outside network coverage) and all switch to roaming network.

We need to go back and forth 2-3 times to connection to our provider and to roaming.
All switch gracefully apart from Jolla that at some point gives up and says still connected to the roaming network. At that time we are clearly outside the service area of that network.

I ask them to call me and I'm not reachable.

3 hours later and ~ 20 km away from the roaming network, the icon and netork name is still 'locked' to the roaming network.

Reboot and after 10 minutes it still says no network and icon is gray. All other phones at 4G.
try manual connection and after a few tries it finds the networks of the region and the provider and get connected.

EDIT:
It seems that it's not so strange. Someone has already reported it

Jolla! Please publish source-code!
Iam waiting for VPN and SIP on my Jolla 1.
All what i see is every some months small patches. If they developing in this speed, never they will have a chance on the market.
Let the community to develop.

Iam still on my N9 as main phone while the Jolla still lack of this feature.

For me the E71 was the top. E72 was a step back. N9 never was on this level.

I'm on train now and am surfing with 4G on my Jolla C where I used to have absolutely no connection before! Looks like this one has been fixed for real.

In my mind it has no votes because description is not really informative. At least I could not really get feeling how problem/bug is visible for end user.
In the comments there was link to this description which gives better view what the problem is. If that's the same thing what happens in the original bug report?
https://together.jolla.com/question/...post-id-128213

Maybe it's just me but If I see more clear description I would notice that yeah - I have seen this behavior as well and vote it.
But It's good that Jolla recognizes that there is problem and is following this.

Edit:
I have not seen much problem with packet data and I use mainly mobile data and not wifi.

But maybe there is problem if you use Wifi and mobile data and change them as you go. There seems to be also Wifi issues.

Quoting myself (sorry) just to give an update.
I have been doing this exercise now for a few days (having 2.0.2.51) and cannot reproduce it.
The network always switches correctly..

I cannot find hints in the release notes, that the issues (buteo sync, battery life) posted on TJC are fixed. SailfishOS is back to beta.
