Looking at the asus transformer, I was thinking:
- wouldn't it be nice if there's a standard for this sort of thing? so the 'transformer' part of ASUS can be interchangeably connected with other tablets (not just through a bluetooth connection, but also for power charging and even usb hub and memory card slots).
then ... "wouldn't it be nice if they use magnetic mechanism like the iPad2 to hook the parts together? that would make the connection more robust and works with more formfactor/sizes...
hmmm
..... is apple planning something up this alley by going all magnetic with iPad2?

This day in Android news: tablet mania!
It looks like Sony is also getting into the mix:

Sony apparently may have a secret full-sized tablet (~9.4") in the works that will be available by the time the summer rolls around...

'wrap design' wtf?
...and coupled with Tegra2 plus access to the xperia psx whatchamacallit gaming appstore would be VERRRRRRY interesting media platform.
so... 9-10" is called 'full sized'.
5-7" is 'medium'
3-4" is 'small/pocketable'?
works for me
re: dock
how about them thunderbolt ports? it's 10gbps (or thereabout), wrapped in a displayport jack...

But as things stand today, one of a company’s best defenses against this kind of litigation is (ironically) to have a formidable patent portfolio, as this helps maintain your freedom to develop new products and services. Google is a relatively young company, and although we have a growing number of patents, many of our competitors have larger portfolios given their longer histories.

What size tablet do people here prefer?
5"=== a large smartphone/pmp
7"=== a giant smartphone/pmp or a tiny netbook (sans keyboard)
8.9"== a size between 7" and 10"
10"=== a size roughly equivalent to netbooks
What aspect ratio do people prefer?
4:3 === squarish so it is evenly balanced, easy to hold one-handedly in landscape for extended periods (eg ebooks)
16: 9 == rectangular so movies look great, fits webpages much more comfortably, games (eg 3D/racing) can have the controls tucked in the side in landscape mode for better experience. But its not as evenly balanced and makes it less convenient to hold with one hand in landscape mode for extensive periods.
Galaxy Tab? Check. Honeycomb? Cheeeeck....

Wow, it's really coming along! At $400, this could be a killer HC device!
Sure have... However, I don't recall Wilson actually responding to Chuck...

I'm sorry, man, but having grown up with BBS's for a lot of my younger life--when I see someone drawing a trail of minus signs like that, I keep thinking there's an intent to imply an ASCII art male genital in there somewhere. The whole time I'm reading your comment, it almost reads as if you're trying to imply a relationship with sizes. I'd avoid drawing a trail of ='s like that. heheh
So wrong. So wrong,man.
THANK GOD! Finally, someone's doing something for us CDMA people! All these kernals and hacks so far have ALL concentrated on GSM (and I really don't like GSM, myself). More importantly, the CDMA versions (Sprint and Verizon) were the ones MOST harmfully crippled (no bt mouse, no bt keyboard, no cifs, etc.)--so we're the ones that needed it the most. Fantastic!

I think the certain conditions are that you bought the keyboard. which carries extra batteries and costs extra.

I think I'll pass until some more definitive reviews/info come out. Even though I'm looking for a 7" tablet, the 10" Asus looks mighty tempting.
*Consumer*, not a developer! I apologize for any inconvenience.
