So do I. "So long, and thanks for all the fish" is what the dolphins say in it shortly before leaving Earth.

Guys please help me I seemed to have bricked my phone or at least screwed it up a lot.
I did first method in guide but I also added rm -rf /and/* for good measure, figured it couldn't hurt. but WRONG, everything went weird and after restart it's all black with some purple and blocks instead of text.

Now that I think about it, I might have forgot / between and and *, not sure.

I can however access my data through usb so I saved contacts which I already had exported, pictures and videos.

What am I to do now? Flash it or can I do something else? Anyone knows what went wrong? Any way to save more stuff and any idea what I can save, can't think of anything more right now beside text msgs...
Bah, I suck
Not a phone for me, not good at playing with stuff like this lol

It's funny because I always joked about rm -rf and now I actually screwed it up, uhh lol

If you did it after mounting /home on /and, you've just removed your /home dir.

Only a reflash or a backup restore now.

I have backup on phone actually, probably very old but it will do!
Do I have to flash it and then use it or how do I go at restoring it?

But then again, reflashing it wouldn't hurt I guess, to make it all new and shiny again, was planning to in a while just wasn't prepare to lose all applications and stuff hmm

Edit: flashed it, used backup from January I had etc, all in all it's all good

Hmmm, Nokia probably doesn't want geniuses like e-yes aka drunkdebugger aka alexey porting a mature competing OS like android to their precious little N9. That's why he didnt a free developer device. Its once again the famous Nokia-short-sightedness at play, I presume.

However, we may be able to convince e-yes to continue development and at the same time show him our appreciation for his hard work by setting up a community Nitdroid donation thread. We can hopefully collect enough for buying him an N9 by the time it is released. We may even be able to get devices for the other developer working on this project.

What do you guys think?

Nokia didn't provide free N9 on anyone. Not even n950. Those lucky 250 people who got n950 would either pay for it in the near future or return it back to nokia.

Hi,
I installed the last N12 update on EmmC phone and all works fine but I can't download applications from the market. it stays on "starting download" forever.
Also, it won't recognize my 16GB sandisk card even thougt I double-checked the menu has the "${INT_CARD}p2" line. It thinks the "MyDocs" partition from Maemo is the SD card.

Any help with downloadings please?
