The problem is that many people are interested in the subject matters discussed here, but don't have time for "filler" content. TMO is 95% full of redundant conversation because people are using it like a chatroom; the whole service was more valuable if idle chatter occured in offtopic forums, or there was a moderation system that made people a bit more "afraid" of disrupting threads with offtopic matters (-1, hijacking_the_thread).

Do people actually expect there to be a serious developer orientated discussion forum with zero chit chat if Meego does become mainstream though?
As a general rule, the higher the popularity, the stupider the comments. Look at Youtube; one of the most visited sites on the web and its comments possibly act an archive for all of human stupidity..
I'm not saying chaos should reign... but the idea of the maemo/meego OS reaching a developed state where it can take on android/iphone or becoming 'step 5 of 5' (and hence the popularity that will come with it) while having the main community resource/forum devoid of all humanity and just people sharing facts directly related to topics is perhaps a fools dream...
..devoid of all humanity..

EDIT: To keep this vaguely on-topic is this the release that will be "proper" open-sourced? (e.g. Anyone can participate in the development because all source code for UX is available?)

'QtDone'. Getting things done (GTD) was never this cheap!
'QmlReddit' reads Reddit!
