I have canola2 2.0.0~beta9-maemo3 installed on my N810. When I run canola, I get the following error message:

Just a quick question... Is there a way to search audio library? If there is not, it would be a great feature for the next release.

Seens like an error when Canola was installed, plugins.pickle should've been generated automatically for you. Was there any error message during installation ?

Right now there is no way to search. Though not exactly for the next release, searching is indeed planned (and is quite high on my own priority list :P).
Thanks alot for the feedback

I don't remember. Is there a way to reinstall it?

Well, just uninstalling it from Application Manager and then installing it again should do the trick. Otherwise, you could install canola-cleanup, run it and then use Application Manager to install Canola again (canola-cleanup does a more thorough uninstall, not that I think it should be necessary here).

OK, since I have extras-devel, I did the following after uninstalling it, to get the beta9:
Code:
/home/user # apt-get install canola2=2.0.0~beta9-maemo3
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:
  gpe-contacts gpe-todo
Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove them.
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  canola2
0 upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 58 not upgraded.
Need to get 0B/1539kB of archives.
After unpacking 2474kB of additional disk space will be used.
WARNING: The following packages cannot be authenticated!
  canola2
Install these packages without verification [y/N]? y
Selecting previously deselected package canola2.
(Reading database ... 29431 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking canola2 (from .../canola2_2.0.0~beta9-maemo3_all.deb) ...
Setting up canola2 (2.0.0~beta9-maemo3) ...
Error: couldn't read plugins information from canola-core/plugins.info: 'canola-core/plugins.info'
/home/user #
As you can see, there has been an error.

Most likely it's getting versions of canolad and others from extras-devel. Could you please run canola-cleanup (now I do think it's a little bit more needed :P) and then, disable extras-devel (at least during this procedure) and install canola2.
