I had two reboots today, when I got the phone and used it for a while... And now after 4-5 hours... Haven't installed anything... Mic is working fine and so on... Could flashing the device help it?

If its hardware related, there may be some bad memory areas which only show up sporadically. If there are 'really' folks on here claim ZERO reboots after weeks of use it could still point to a hardware issue..

May I ask where you got your N900 from?

Have had two N900's already, one from the Chicago Nokia Store which I had for 8 days and had about 6-10 reboots in that time which I took back on the 6th of this month. The second N900 I got from Buy.com pre-ordered it and couldn't cancel the order, not sure why but timing worked out I guess. Got this one on the 5th and have had at least 10 -15 reboots. Havent had a chance to install any 3rd party apps. Installed weather widget and ms to go applications but those came with the phone. I have used email heavily and have noticed few issues. Reboots tend to happen through web browsing or playing thechess game, with no other apps running not sure why. Using the phone or editing contacts or other basic phone options never seem to give a problem. I noticed a few of you have posted what I think is a error message ( sw_rst and 32wd ) is there a way to get a crash report or see a log of commands that could help narrow down a issue. I cant imagine its the hardware in this phone since its the second device I have had, hardware like this is used other devices.

With the new device i no longer have any reboot issues.
can you confirm that you have NO reboots while browsing?, mine seems to occur as soon as I browse WLAN. I havent tried 3g browsing yet, but guess it wont matter.

Try to browse both WLAN and 3g and will you please let me know ? after browsing also please wait for the device to screen lock and then try to do browsing again. I have almost narrowed my reboots to "wake-up" of the device(60% of times)

This is really odd... The reboots might come after one hour of using, or 5min of using... What is causing this problem? It seems to me that the phone get jammed and then boots. Ram? *sigh*

Have anyone asked Nokia about this issue? I'll go and send an email right now...
