Let see....

Yes they are.

Here is my answer that I hope can help:

1) mycontacts

2) try set the ISO to anything other than auto, and choose a mode like landscape or portrait other than auto, and remember to half-press the camera button to focus first (not applicable to landscape mode)

3) what's that?

4) ukeyboard?

5) delay of the flash 10 is hardly Nokia's problem or community's fault. Adobe is sole responsible for it. Don't worry, HTML5 is way up ahead to replace flash. If Adobe do not value their business, just leave flash 10 out of N900, we care less.

6) speaker problem might be hardware-wise, I'm sorry to tell you that. Try pressing the spot to the right of the phone speaker to see if you get better reception, if you do, then I'm sorry to tell you that you might get someone to fix it as it's the exact location of the phone speaker is.

The auto-off during phone calling is annoying yes. Something has a fix of it but I forgot where it is, you should look for yourself.

7) Why, there is. Ask google.

8) I think someone else has suggested...fast app manager. I use console mode apt-get anyway

9) you can type sync;sync in xterminal before shutdown your phone. It's a Linux nevertheless

10) Yes, look for Nokia map loader
is this a hardware limitation? -> your SD space

11) Yes it can be done. Again you should look for it yourself. I got only so much time in my life for my own problems ya know XD

12) that's not the real internet customization, it's just access right restriction on java application. You should look at the Java on N900 for more details. No, N900 is not made for running java application by default so you must do it the hard way.

13) I can only say N900 would be the first phone that enable USB host-mode in the future given its openness. Other phone would just say no to you

14) in my opinion multi-touch is the most useless function, especially when you've keyboard. Anyway, if you need that multi-touch badly, all resistive touchscreen phones are not for you (anyway I've been told there's a project for N900 multi-touch. Look for yourself)

15) It's laggy because the process run on true multi-tasking. This is something I can live with for that nice multi-tasking.

16) Mediabox

17) Just go to configure and stop it from flippy. You should really read the menu (well, honestly I didn't XD)

18) well, how would that be the problem of opensource projects?

19) Mediabox, symfonie...etc.

20) There's solutions. Just look for yourself please.

21) I don't want portrait SMS, but it can be done(look for yurself) and you can go portrait mode with photo browser. Do you really use N900 anyway?

22) extended calllog, and many other applications others has suggested above.

23) I don't feel the stutter.....what other apps you run on background anyway?

24) What other phone not jerky in this case?

25) Just tap in the middle

26) symfonie...but anyway, you'd find that having a equalizer is quite useless. Try it you'd understand.

27) it has powesaving mode: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=49982

Phew.

Hope this help.
lol
those arent my problems
those are problems everyone is facing..
i collected and made a list out of it

i have the maps downloaded in my device
thats not the data consuming part, the widgets and software update is.. and it keeps asking me to go online, otherwise it wont find my location

vsync or increase framerate for scrolling
basically the same thing

internet restrictions! exactly! and no java or java settings.. besides, i want it universal.. for every app that needs internet access

i've seen the project.. well its not for n900 specifically, its for resistive touchscreen.. and i wanted someone who knows what he's saying to answer it, not jus some guy who has a vague idea

media box and other players cant use the desktop widget.. can they?
play pause from desktop is alot easier *for me atleast, maybe used to it*

ntdroid and other os porting needs drivers for closed components
thats the issue

photo browser can go portrait?
how? :-/

"there is a solution, just look for urself" are u jus sayin that or there really are solutions? and portrait isnt my idea, i jus collected others issues /solutions over other threads
thats goes for extended call log too *i already have it*

none, and they kinda lag in the beginning, perhaps coz it starts from where i left is the last time? :-/

tap the middle
lol
no its its already done by then
i think its coz phone is in landscape and calls are in portrait

powersaving is more like a widget.. but it'll do for the meanwhile

If you just consolidate a list of incorrect, irreverent or solved issues without verifying them yourself before posting them, and after posting them you don't care or evaluate any answer that'd be given, then you can't blame others calling you are troll.

Now looking closely I'm afraid you're starting to look like one....

Yeah, then respond to any answer otherwise others would regard you as troll. ^^

You're doing it wrong then. I'm sorry I can't give you further instruction on this. You could refer to Nokia's forum for details.

vsync or increase framerate for scrolling
basically the same thing
Say, what app you're referring to?

internet restrictions! exactly! and no java or java settings.. besides, i want it universal.. for every app that needs internet access
Do you realize that other phone is single-tasking so restricting the network access in general basically means restricting the network access of the entire phone while your app is running. Just turn off the network when you run your app in the foreground. If you wanna restricting network access of the background job, then it's N900 specific, and it can only be done in N900's way. It can be done, but I don't see why you should do that.

i've seen the project.. well its not for n900 specifically, its for resistive touchscreen.. and i wanted someone who knows what he's saying to answer it, not jus some guy who has a vague idea
Just like I said before, I'm the someone who don't care if N900 has multi-touch.

And I don't know why you can't google the keywords 'multi-touch n900' yourself and instead ask for someone to tell you. There's even video for this project, and you keep telling me that it doesn't exist just because no one else tell you and you don't believe me?

media box and other players cant use the desktop widget.. can they?
play pause from desktop is alot easier *for me atleast, maybe used to it*
If you want widget then stick to the original one. If you can't live with the fact that all programs has strength and weakness one way of the other then you can make you own one with all the strength in one, then make huge profit out of your achievement.

Even other phone's media players have weakness you got to live with, at least N900 gives you options to choose. Be nice to it.

Also, I need to remind you that media players in N900 are not just limited to default, mediabox or symfonie, there're many other I don't list because I haven't tried them. You need to do your own research if you want to find one suits you.

ntdroid and other os porting needs drivers for closed components
thats the issue
And that is the fault of opensource how? (I wish you remember what's your original supposition)

photo browser can go portrait?
how? :-/
Turn the freaking phone in up right position. I must ask again are you really using N900?

"there is a solution, just look for urself" are u jus sayin that or there really are solutions? and portrait isnt my idea, i jus collected others issues /solutions over other threads
thats goes for extended call log too *i already have it*
The part I tell you to look for yourself is that the detail solution is just 3 second googling away. You know some of your question involved long list of procedures that can be found anywhere but here. We can just spoonfeed you that far in a simple reply.

none, and they kinda lag in the beginning, perhaps coz it starts from where i left is the last time? :-/
Try SiB or Kmplayer then.

tap the middle
lol
no its its already done by then
i think its coz phone is in landscape and calls are in portrait
I told you to look at the menu for the configuration of phone app to prevent this from flipping which I don't think you've done so, right?

powersaving is more like a widget.. but it'll do for the meanwhile
Try it, it's so great. I always use it while I"m not using the internet. Of course, you'd like to make another script to bring back all the connections, which isn't included in the widget.

if i use maps to connect to net, everything gets updated.. eats up all my balance.. most annoying, the phone updates being checked automatically..

i did, even went to wiki
they're all about resistive, not n900 specifically.. and some say it can, some say it cant.. thats why i need a professional answer

its not my problem with open source..
look
if u go and read, like host mode for example, needs BME MADE OPENSOURCE coz its a closed component..

What conversations? There's a lot conversations going in N900 daily.

Look, English is not my native and I'm not that good at expressing myself in English so I've no intention to make fun of yours, but really at least you should address the name of the apps correctly so that I can help, right?

Again, there're specific topic in Nokia forum. You should seek help from someone who're constantly using it and I'm sure they'd help you there.

You don't look hard enough. If google doesn't work for you why don't you look at youtube directly?

There is software BME project.

those are photos turning, not the browser..

thx for the phone app though,

LOL.. thank god i didnt try that yet.. but its good for me if im outside.. *not at home*

They've the link to the related project page. Well if you couldn't find it may be the parallel universe you live in don't have it.

When I said software bme probably I refer to a project regarding software bme.

Yes, you can do that, but do you realize that you've bought a phone that is intended to operate in landscape mode officially?

May be going back to my original question: have you bought the wrong phone for yourself?

google has no results on multi touch,
i'd be glad if u can find it for me though

thing is, there is no project for bme itself,
u dont get the concept,
bme is a driver
like video card driver for pc
but bme is builtin for n900
comes with maemo
cant be downloaded externally
and nokia wont give us the bme drivers coz it will invade privacy?
ok read this https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9314
u'll get what i mean

yes, all cellphones can support portrait or landscape..
5730 for example?
that has a keyboard too
or n97

bought the right phone.. yes.. opensource seemed interesting..
but i didnt know that nokia will remove other things that are basically present in every other phone
i kinda expected the "high end" phone to have all the features present..
i mean cmon, thats like u buy a premium version of something but the premium doesnt have features from trail version

I wouldn't provide you the link as we're living in the different parallel universe.

Why BME close? Because any wrong setting would cause the battery to explode, literally.

I think you should accept the reality that N900 is made for landscape mode officially. The good news is that it can also operate in portrait with some tweak, which you reluctant to accept as a solution.

In this connection, N900 is the wrong phone for you, because we enjoy what you disdain at, that's very sad.
