Yes i can operate it when charging, and the wire is less in the way then the USB normally is.

No the chargers i normally use can take all kinds of battery's, depending on what model im using.

Here is a picure of 2x DX things combined to make a simple (not very fast) charger.

The included N900 "charger" is a power supply only. It outputs 5V. Any "charger" that connects to the MicroUSB port is a power supply. Also "chargers" that connect to 2mm port on older Nokia phones are power supplies.

It is important to never connect power supplies directly to batteries.

As you can see from dr_frost's picture, he has taken the cable from a car charger, and connected it to the output of a Li-Ion charger. A real charger, since you can see it's a cradle designed to connect directly to 18650 Li-Ion batteries.

Again, never ever connect power supplies directly to batteries. It can result in what the industry calls "venting with flame", or what normal people would call "explosion".

UPDATE: 1350mAh Rechargeable Lithium Ion Battery BL-5J has been removed from the list, they couldn't get it apparently.

But anyway the 1420mAh is in transit and will hopefully arrive soon. Would be cool to get even more capacity then the japod even if it is only 50mAh, still 100mAh when in dual config.

Hmm. The battery meter widget is kinda messy for me.

it shows 2585.7% and 34.058V right now...

Thanks, that solve it, now to rework it to fit my theme... Althought it means no temperature reading. No big deal. It wasn't too accurate anyway.

I have one of these:

http://www.hollyhockbatteries.com.au/CX4000PRO.html

Rated voltages are: 3.6v and 7.2v for lithium batteries
1200mA max. charge current

I use it to charge the battery only. Although its not 4.2v, would it still be suitable, if I hook the +'s and -'s from the charger to the points you specified?
