I've actually replaced /usr/bin/mediaplayer with the OMP binary. Of course, back up your old /usr/bin/mediaplayer somewhere safe! When doing this, I think most audio widgets will ONLY use OMP. This might get rid of contention between OMP and MediaPlayer for setting the "current audio source".
Be forewarned that gPodder seems to have trouble playing audio / switching over to OMP.

Looking for the command line to remove the OMP?
Can some one point in the direction for this so I can delete OMP for now. Thanks.
