I personally think iOS and Android are fine with 1GB for those mobile Apps.
2GB is excessive at times, the bottlenecks are someplace else (software).
However, with these new 64-bit processing, 2GHz Quad-A57 cores and new 700MHz GPUs.... those new LDDR4 4GB RAM.
Things should finally hit desktop and console performance.

For myself I'll wait for more all around stability out of 'em before going down the road of another os. Frankly I am somewhat disappointed with what it is/ has turned into thus far.
