OK, so i answered my own question. just installed power user settings (not kernel) and overclocking works again! yay!

becase is not mount sd and not root, so can't music picture book video

yet, i have had more success witrh emmc/mmc mount but its not stable enoughto release yet

ok folks,
got a request/query here aimed at users who have some skills in linux etc (aka not newbs - no offence to you but this particlear request could cause problems above your ability to fix and require reflash).

right, we will shortly be moving entirely away from the standard nokia 2.6.28 based kernel (we need to to get more of froyos features going better) to most likely some variant of 2.6.35 same as meego but we are looking for users to test new kernels etc - these would be prerelease tests so may be buggy/non working entirely- due to multiboots autoflash system this WOULD NOT break maemo (in theory anyway) as multiboot would simply flash back to maemos kernel as needed.

any wannabe testers contact me or jump into the dev irc room for any info, i want to keep this topic clear of these discussions - ill be setting up a forum for nitdroid soon to help organize things more too

HELP!!!

when i entered

cd /and
rm -rf *
bzcat /home/user/MyDocs/NITDroid-N900-0.0.5-3-BIG.tbz2 | tar xvf -

it appears

/bin/sh: bzcat: not found
tar: short read

Can anyone please help me with that?

another quick question. i seem to have lost a big chunk of rootfs. is the boot menu stored there?

tar: short read

what does that mean?

apt-get install bzip2
